Who we are

Founded in July 2015, FREE Liberia is a registered and accredited nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting evidence-based solutions
for sustainable development, quality education, and meaningful empowerment in Liberia and beyond. We are a passionate and diverse team of
innovative researchers, educators, and professionals from Liberia and the diaspora. Our work is rooted in the power of empirical research to
influence smart policies, strengthen institutions, and inspire individual growth. By leveraging data and insight, we drive transformative education
and empowerment programs that deliver long-lasting impact at the community, institutional, and national levels.

FREE Liberia's vision is bold yet clear: to bridge Africa's research gap, especially in Liberia, by creating accessible academic journals, think
tanks, and practical platforms that connect knowledge with action. We are committed to making research and scholarly literature freely or affordably available
to those who need it most: educators, students, policymakers, and community leaders.

Our Strategic Objectives

1. Advance evidence-based decision-making  by exploring issues related to education, socio-economics,
   gender, and governance, and providing actionable recommendations.

2. Support institutions— public and private— through data-driven research services including
   surveys, baseline studies, capacity assessments, monitoring and evaluation, and more.

3. Deliver quality consulting and support services  in areas such as strategic planning, capacity
   development, staff training, proposal writing, corporate reporting, and organizational 

4. Promote inclusive and quality education  through teacher training, curriculum and textbook development,
   and learning material support— ensuring access, equity, and excellence in Liberia’s education sector.

5. Empower youth and individuals  through motivational programs, mentorship, career guidance, counseling,
   and psychosocial support to help them overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

6. Drive advocacy and awareness  campaigns that promote democratic values, peace-building, accountability,
   gender equality, innovation, and social justice.

7. Foster meaningful partnerships and collaborations  with local and international NGOs, institutions,
   philanthropists, and changemakers committed to education, peace, and sustainable development.
